Ekologiskt uppf\u00f6dda kor f\u00e5r foder utan bek\u00e4mpningsmedel, vilket \u00e4r b\u00e4ttre f\u00f6r den biologiska m\u00e5ngfalden. Importerat n\u00f6tk\u00f6tt p\u00e5verkar ofta biologisk m\u00e5ngfald negativt n\u00e4r savanner och skogar, s\u00e4rskilt i Sydamerika, sk\u00f6vlas f\u00f6r sojaodling till djurfoder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Ost<\/em>: Eftersom ost oftast kommer fr\u00e5n kor har den liknande p\u00e5verkan p\u00e5 den biologiska m\u00e5ngfalden som n\u00f6tk\u00f6tt. I Sverige finns krav p\u00e5 att mj\u00f6lkkor ska g\u00e5 ute och beta, vilket \u00e4r bra f\u00f6r den biologiska m\u00e5ngfalden. Precis som ekologiska k\u00f6ttkor f\u00e5r ekologiska mj\u00f6lkkor foder som inte besprutats med bek\u00e4mpningsmedel.
